iQOO Neo 10 was launched in India on 26 May 2025, and is the first mid-range phone to bring Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. With a mix of performance-first approach and competitive pricing, the Neo 10 has created a lot of buzz since its launch. Let's see if it's true, an all-rounder or just a gaming beast.

Design and Display

Build Quality: With IP65-rated dust and splash resistance, the Neo 10 delivers a strong rugged experience

Screen: 6.78‑inch 1.5K AMOLED display (2,800×1,260 pixels) that supports 144Hz refresh rate and 4320Hz PWM dimming for smooth scrolling and low light comfort.

Brightness and colour: 5,500 nits of peak brightness (2,000 nits in HBM mode) and 10‑bit colour depth, HDR10+ certification – video streaming is a breeze

The display’s high refresh rate and top-class brightness are perfect for both gaming and media consumption.

 Performance and Hardware

Processor: India’s first Snapdragon 8S Gen 4 SoC (1 super core + 7 big cores) paired with Adreno 825 GPU, feels good at flagship-grade performance levels

RAM and Storage: 8GB/12GB/16GB LPDDR5X RAM options and 128GB/256GB/512GB UFS 4.1 storage; Virtual RAM expansion feature is also available

Benchmarks: Antutu scores crossed ~1,200,000 points (typical flagship territory) and GPU performance also handled heavy loads for me—no throttling.

Even heavy video editing and 3D rendering tasks ran smoothly on the Neo 10.

Gaming and Thermal Management

Q1 supercomputing chip: The Q1 gaming co-processor with Qualcomm chip gives an extra boost, especially for frame-rate stability

Vapor Chamber Cooling: The 7,000 mm² liquid cooling chamber makes heat dissipation efficient, keeping temperatures under control even during continuous gaming.

In-game features: 144fps gaming support, 360Hz touch sampling, 3,000Hz instant touch sampling mode the dream setup for competitive gamers.

Gaming marathon? The Neo 10 runs lag-free, and manages heat well.

Camera System

Rear setup: 50MP Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS (f/1.79) + 8MP ultra-wide (f/2.2)

Front camera: 32MP shooter (f/2.45), sharp selfies and smooth video calls.

Video recording: 4K@60fps from both front and back; Night Vision mode improves low-light shots too.

Daylight photography is quite detailed, and OIS maintains clarity even in low light.

Battery & Charging

Battery Capacity: Huge 7,000mAh battery that easily gives more than a day of backup, even with heavy usage

Fast Charging: 120W wired fast charging with bypass technology—~70% charge possible in 30 minutes

Reverse Charging: 10W reverse wired charging—can juice up friends’ devices too.

No battery worries even after long sessions, fast charger comes in handy for quick top-ups.

Software & Updates

OS: Android 15 based Funtouch OS 15, clean UI with useful AI features like AI Note Assist, AI Call Translation, Google Gemini integration

Update Policy: 3 major OS updates + 4 years of security patches promised—that’s future proofing.

The UI can be a bit heavy, but customization options and AI tools simplify daily tasks.

Connectivity and Extras

5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, USB-C port.

Dual stereo speakers with 360° surround sound antenna.

In-display fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

These features cover the connectivity and security needs of modern users well.
